LYVER, Ellen Marie - Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family,
after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A.
Miller Centre, St. John`s, on September 29, 2003, Ellen Marie Lyver (Ella), aged
55 years. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Annie Lyver. Leaving to mourn
her brother: Anthony (Mona), Montreal, Quebec; her sister: Margaret (Donald
Rowe), Coquitlam, B.C.; Uncle Allan Lannon and Aunt Catherine Lannon, St. John`s
and Aunt Annie Lannon, Golspie, Scotland; three nephews; two nieces; one
grand-nephew; two grand-nieces, cousins and a large circle of friends and
supporters. Ella attended
Mt.
St.
Vincent
University
and Memorial University of Newfoundland, graduating with a Bachelor of
Education. She enjoyed a 30 year teaching career, 28 years which were at
Immaculate Conception School, Colliers, C. Bay. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home,
84 LeMarchant Rd., St. John`s. Visitation on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 7 pm - 9 pm
and Wednesday, October 1 at 2 pm - 4 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm (Vigil service 8 pm).
Funeral Mass to be announced later. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ella`s name to the
Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre, the Nfld. Cancer Society or to the
charity of your choice.
