Probably the Thomas that died August 1849 aged 83 years at Great Meoles and described as an Agricultural Labourer.  Buried 2nd September 1849. He married Jane Machingtack , b. ABT 1755, d. APR 1828 in West Kirby, Cheshire, England.  Jane: At Baptism of three of her children name spelt Maclingtock, Maclingtack and Maclintock.  Last probably most accurate and the name probably MacLintock or McLintock.  Buried 19th April 1828 in St Bridget's, West Kirby .

63.  Ivy Linekar , b. 15 Jun 1905 in 55 Lee Rd., Hoylake, Chs., England, d. FEB 1996 in Wallasey, Merseyside, England.  She married George Bancroft Caton , married 26 Aug 1928 in St. Michael & All Saints, Claughton, Chs, d. 1966, occupation Boilermaker.  George: Boilermaker.

                      ii.    Elsie Mary Caton , b. 16 Mar 1930 in Flat 67a, 11 Caroline Pl., Birkenhead.  She married Stephen James Hargreaves , married 18 Jun 1959 in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.  Stephen: M.B., Ch.B.

                      iii.   Mable Dorothy Caton , b. 1933, d. 1977.  She married David Hosking , married 1954.

                      iv.   Peter Caton , b. 1938.  Residing in New Zealand.

 

64.  Joseph Charles Linekar , b. 30 Jul 1918 in Oakfield View, Birkenhead, Chs., England, d. 4 Dec 1962 in London, England, occupation Engineer.  Trained as an engineer in Liverpool. Worked as a refrigeration engineer on whalers before working for oil companies in the Middle East. Home address at M. 11 Oakfield View, Birkenhead. He married Mary Louise Booth , married 22 Jul 1942 in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland, b. 26 Jun 1921 in 14 Riverside, Thurso, Caithness, Scotland, (daughter of George Booth and Williamina Jamesina Angusina Gunn ).

She married Allan Cathel Lannon , married 30 Mar 1968 in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland, b. 7 Mar 1946 in Golspie, Sutherland, Scotland, (son of Matthew Joseph Lannon and Annie Isabella Fraser Melville ) occupation Head Teacher.  Allan: Head Teacher Miller Academy, Thurso.  Before entering teaching worked for four years in metallurgy department of the UKAEA at the Dounreay Fast Reactor. Taught 1 year at Miller Academy, Pulteneytown Academy as Depute Head for 4 years, Keiss School as Head Teacher for 5 years and Mount Pleasant School a Head Teacher for 16 years before taking post of Head at Miller Academy in August 1997.

                      ii.    George Alexander Booth Linekar , b. 20 Feb 1948 in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland.  Metallurgist working in senior management position at Dounreay. He married Zelda Chaikin , married 10 Jul 1986 in London, England, b. 27 Apr 1946 in London, England, occupation Social Worker.  Zelda: Social Worker.
